Terms of Service
Last updated · 30 May 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Kehdo, and we have written them to be read rather than skimmed past. By installing Kehdo and using it, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, that is okay; please do not use the app, and feel free to tell us why.
Who can use Kehdo
Kehdo is a voice-first journaling and daily companion app. You may use it if you are at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required where you live, and able to enter into this agreement. If you use Kehdo on someone else's behalf, you are responsible for their use too.
Your account
Kehdo sets up an account for you automatically the first time you open it. You may later sign in so your entries are available across devices. Keep your sign-in secure, since anyone with access to it can read your entries. Please let us know promptly if you think someone else has gained access.
Your content is yours
Everything you record or write in Kehdo belongs to you. We store a copy on your behalf so it is there when you return and travels with you across devices, but the content remains yours. We do not claim ownership of it, sell it, or use it to train models. You can export it or delete it permanently at any time from inside the app.
What Kehdo is, and isn't
Kehdo is a companion for reflection and daily organisation. It is not a medical device, a diagnosis, therapy, or a substitute for professional advice of any kind, whether medical, psychological, legal, or otherwise. Transcripts and any suggestions the app produces are conveniences, not records you should rely on for anything important or safety-critical. If you are struggling or need help, please reach out to a qualified professional, or in an emergency, your local emergency services.
Using Kehdo responsibly
To keep Kehdo working well for everyone, please do not:
- record other people without their knowledge or consent where doing so would break the law where you are;
- use Kehdo for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive;
- interfere with, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service or its security;
- attempt to access the app's internal workings, decompile it, or extract credentials or other protected materials;
- use the service in a way that infringes anyone else's rights.
If you misuse Kehdo, we may suspend or close your account. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Service providers
Some features rely on third-party service providers that process information on our behalf. For example, they create transcripts, power optional helper features, store your data securely, and keep the app stable. By using Kehdo, you understand that, where these features run, the information they need is processed by those providers under agreements that protect it. How this works is described in our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and payments
Kehdo is free at the time of writing. If we ever introduce paid features, we will make the price and what is included clear before you buy, you will only be charged for something you actively choose, and you will be able to manage or cancel a subscription through your app store. We will not quietly start charging you for something that used to be free.
Availability and changes to the app
Kehdo changes over time. Features may be added, reshaped, or removed. We may also need to interrupt the service for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. We try to keep disruption to a minimum, but we cannot promise the app will always be available or error-free.
Disclaimers
Kehdo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that transcripts will be accurate, that suggestions will be correct, or that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Automatic transcription and any AI-assisted features are interpretations and can get things wrong.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kehdo and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Kehdo and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or harms other users or the service. If we ever discontinue Kehdo entirely, we will give you reasonable advance notice and a way to export your entries first.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of Kehdo, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top and let you know in the app. Continuing to use Kehdo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
